I'd kill for a treehouse like that. But it seems to me he's failed to account for the tree continuing to grow. I think I would have gone with more rope bridges.
That's not how trees grow. The limbs grow from the ends, so the distances wont get larger. The only challenge is when the limbs grow thicker. Which he's left probably 5 to 10 years of growth around the major holes. One of the mistakes people make is to try and plug the holes around where the branches go through the siding and floor. That part of the branch will grow, though it isn't too hard with constant maintainence to constantly dremmel out the floor and siding as the branches grow near (provided you've left yourself enough space to do so).
